The main aim of sustainability is the harmonization of economic development with environmental protection. MEROCO puts emphasis on keeping these two key factors in balance.
Biodiesel is an alternative biofuel made from renewable sources of energy, which enables it to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, thus helping to protect the environment.
Our biodiesel meets the criteria set in Directive 2009/28/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on promotion of use of energy from renewable sources (so-called Renewable Energy Directive)/
At the same time our production fulfills the strict criteria of German national system for sustainable biofuels – ISCC DE, as well as requirements of the European sustainability certification system – ISCC EU and the Slovak sustainability scheme – SK BIO.
On the Slovak national level MEROCO is in compliance with criteria set by Act no. 309/2009 on support of renewable sources of energy and highly effective combined production.
MEROCO has implemented the system of quality controlling according to ISO 9001:2015, which is focused on the continuous improvement of quality and customer satisfaction.
The ISO 14001 (environmental management system) was implemented in 2021.
